What’s your why for serving as the chair of Denver CycleNation?

For more than 20 years I have been involved with cardiovascular programs (running heart hospitals, serving on an American Heart Association board, working with cardiologists, vascular, thoracic and cardiovascular surgeons, setting up hospital service lines and ambulatory surgery centers, etc…). The advancements in heart related research is fascinating and American Heart Association is a wonderful contributing factor.

What are your favorite parts about CycleNation?

My favorite part of CycleNation is the fun people have, and the passion they exude while raising funds for an incredible cause.

How long have you been involved with the American Heart Association?

I started with the Colorado chapter a little over 4 years ago but have been active with the American Heart Association in other states dating back to 2000.

What would you like to say to those companies/individuals who join you in supporting Denver CycleNation?

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!  Your support is greatly appreciated and together we can continue to advance the treatment of  heart disease and stroke. What’s exciting about the CycleNation movement is, it’s not just a one-day event. Participating companies and organizations become part of something bigger. We’re not only making a significant impact on the overall health of our community through our fundraising efforts but, this initiative is designed to improve employee engagement, wellness, and overall workplace health.
